San Diego Sisters in Crime is seeking readers and writers of mysteries to tell us what they look for in a good mystery novel. Join us at our next meeting on Thursday, February 4th, 6:30 PM, at the Joyce Beers Community Center in Hillcrest. Bring excerpts to read from your favorite, or least favorite, mystery novel. We'll have an open discussion on what works and what doesn't. Writers are invited to read from their latest projects. The meeting is free, and men are welcome.
Founded in 1992 by mystery author Janice Steinberg, Sisters in Crime/San Diego Chapter is dedicated to supporting women who write, read, sell or review crime fiction. Membership is open to all women and men who share this goal. We are a not-for-profit organization.
As defined in our bylaws, the purpose of Sisters in Crime is to combat discrimination against women in the mystery field, educate publishers and the general public as to inequalities in the treatment of female authors, to raise the level of awareness of their contributions to the field, and to promote women mystery writers.
